OXVA vaping, the brand's three pod platforms on one map
Search for OXVA vaping in Britain and the first page is the maker’s own site, a run of shop listings and a handful of single-product reviews. Each shop lists XLIM, NeXLIM, VPRIME, SlimStick and ONEO as if they were one long row of interchangeable kits. Their pods are anything but interchangeable. With a new generation almost every year and the same suffixes reused across series, the brand looks crowded from a distance. What it lacks is a map.
OXVA vaping comes down to three pod platforms
The core of the OXVA vaping range rests on three pod families that do not mix. XLIM covers compact pod kits adjustable up to 30 W, NeXLIM covers dual-mesh pod kits up to 40 W, and VPRIME covers pod mods that reach 60 W. A device only takes pods from its own family, with one exception, the original NeXLIM, which accepts XLIM pods through an adaptor.
Around that core sit satellite series with pods of their own, such as the SlimStick X pen, listed with a 1400 mAh battery and a 2 ml pod, or the ONEO Pro, rated at 2100 mAh and 40 W.
Model names come second. Pro, Go, SQ, Ultra and Mini change the shape, the battery or the screen of a platform without changing its consumables. An XLIM Go and an XLIM Pro 4 therefore share the same pods, while a NeXLIM 2 accepts none of them.
How OXVA vaping reached British shelves
OXVA was founded in 2019 in Shenzhen, China, where the address on its website is still located. Several retailers credit Justin Lai, described as a former co-founder of GeekVape, with starting the company.
The timeline the brand publishes on its about page explains the rest. Its first product, the ORIGIN, launched in 2020 and found its market in Southeast Asia, where the XLIM series made OXVA one of the best-selling brands in 2021. The XLIM range only reached Europe and the Middle East in 2022.
Britain noticed the brand earlier, and through a very different product. On the awards list OXVA keeps on its website, the first British honours date from the 2020 UK Vapouround awards, Best Promising Brand for OXVA and Best Tank for the Arbiter 2, a rebuildable tank. The pod kits took over the list from 2022 onwards.
The three OXVA vaping platforms, from XLIM to VPRIME
Each platform is defined by its pod, its power range and the style of draw the maker has in mind. The figures below come from OXVA’s official spec sheets for the lead model in each family.
XLIM, the compact pod platform
This is the largest family. The XLIM 4 carries 1600 mAh and adjusts from 5 W to 30 W, while the XLIM Pro 4 moves up to 1800 mAh over the same range. Their top-fill pods come in 0.4, 0.6, 0.8 and 1.2 ohm, and the adjustable side airflow takes the draw from a tight mouth-to-lung (MTL) pull, where vapour is held in the mouth before inhaling, to a looser restricted direct-to-lung (RDL) one.
Compatibility is the real strength of the series. According to OXVA, the current XLIM pod fits the whole series, from the XLIM Go to the XLIM Pro 4, by way of the SQ Pro 2, Pro 2, Pro 3 and 3 Ultra.
The XLIM Pro 4 adds an ABT pod with liquid-level detection, which stops firing and shows a refill alert when the pod is nearly empty. It fits every XLIM device, but the protection only works on a device built to read it, such as the Pro 4.
NeXLIM, the dual-mesh platform
One step up, the NeXLIM 2 combines 2000 mAh, an output of 5 W to 40 W and a 0.85 inch colour screen. Its dual-mesh pod, with two heating meshes rather than one, comes in 0.6, 0.8 and 1.2 ohm.
Two modes, Boost and Eco, trade intensity against pod life. Based on its own laboratory testing, OXVA claims up to 120 ml of e-liquid per pod in Eco mode and 80 ml in Boost mode.
The pod is listed as compatible with all four models in the family, the NeXLIM, NeXLIM Go, NeXLIM 2 and NeXLIM 2 Mini. Apart from the adaptor on the original NeXLIM, moving from an XLIM to a NeXLIM therefore means switching consumables.
VPRIME, the pod mod platform
The third family is aimed at direct-to-lung (DTL) vaping. The VPRIME 2 packs a 3400 mAh battery, an output of 5 W to 60 W and an airflow control that runs from RDL to DTL, and it weighs 150 g, almost twice the 78.1 g of an XLIM 4.
Two pods share this platform. The original VPRIME pod covers 0.2 to 0.8 ohm, the newer dual-mesh pod is limited to 0.4 and 0.6 ohm, and both fit the VPRIME and the VPRIME 2.
At 60 W, the VPRIME 2 sits below the 80 W pod tier. Our look at the Vaporesso Luxe XR Max 2 and the 80W pod tier covers that next step up.
What the 2 ml cap means for OXVA pods in the UK
International listings for OXVA vaping hardware show pods of 3 ml for XLIM, 4 ml for NeXLIM, and 5 or 6 ml for VPRIME. Those figures describe the standard versions, sold in markets that do not cap capacity.
Under the Tobacco and Related Products Regulations, a refillable tank or pod sold in the UK cannot hold more than 2 ml, and nicotine-containing e-liquid is capped at 20 mg/ml in bottles of no more than 10 ml. OXVA publishes a 2 ml version, labelled TPD, for each of its three platforms, and its TPD kits ship with those pods.
The device itself is not affected by the rule. A British buyer gets the same battery, output and screen as anywhere else, with a smaller pod, which means refilling more often than the international figures suggest.
Choosing an OXVA vaping platform by draw
The choice of an OXVA vaping platform starts with the draw you want, then the shape. All three platforms accept both nicotine salts and freebase e-liquid.
On the XLIM side, tight MTL and RDL draws come in a light body, with the widest choice of compatible devices. NeXLIM covers the same range of draw with more battery and a pod the maker rates as longer lasting. As for VPRIME, it targets airy draws and higher power, at the cost of noticeably more weight and bulk.
For a sense of how other makers handle the low-power end, our piece on the compact end of the pod market around the Voopoo Doric sets out what that segment usually offers.
Next to other brands, OXVA’s structure stays simple. At Voopoo, commercial ranges and pod platforms cut across each other, as our guide to how the Voopoo Argus range is sold in the UK shows with its four families. At OXVA, the series name nearly always tells you which pod you need.
The OXVA map in one table
The table uses the figures OXVA publishes for the lead models in each family, checked in October 2026.
| Platform | Reference model | Battery | Output | Pod resistances | Capacity (UK version) | Intended draw |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| XLIM | XLIM 4, XLIM Pro 4 | 1600 and 1800 mAh | 5 W to 30 W | 0.4 to 1.2 ohm | 3 ml (2 ml) | MTL to RDL |
| NeXLIM | NeXLIM 2 | 2000 mAh | 5 W to 40 W | 0.6 to 1.2 ohm, dual mesh | 4 ml (2 ml) | MTL to RDL |
| VPRIME | VPRIME 2 | 3400 mAh | 5 W to 60 W | 0.2 to 0.8 ohm, or 0.4 and 0.6 ohm dual mesh | 5 or 6 ml (2 ml) | RDL to DTL |
FAQ
These questions tend to come up once a platform has been chosen, at the point of buying or of first use.
How can I check that an OXVA device is genuine?
OXVA products carry a scratch-off anti-counterfeiting label. It reveals a 14-character code to enter on the maker’s verification page, and the latest version of the label adds a QR code.
How long should I wait after filling a new pod?
OXVA states around 30 seconds for the cotton in its latest pods to soak through. Firing before the wick is saturated risks a burnt taste, which that wait is meant to prevent.
How long does charging take?
It depends on the model and the charger. The XLIM 4 charges at 5 V and 2 A, the XLIM Pro 4 at 5 V and 3 A, with a full charge in about 40 minutes according to the maker when a compatible adapter is used. The VPRIME 2 reaches 50% in 20 minutes, also at 5 V and 3 A.
What separates the XLIM 4 from the XLIM Pro 4?
Both share the same 5 W to 30 W range and the same pods. The Pro 4 adds 200 mAh, a colour screen, faster charging and support for ABT pods, while the XLIM 4 makes do with a light ring and three power levels.
Does OXVA make its own e-liquid?
Not under its own name. E-liquids are sold by a separate sub-brand, OX Passion, which runs its own website. OXVA’s refillable pods are not tied to that range of liquids.
What the OXVA vaping map says about the pod market
Read by platform, the catalogue narrows to three clear families, each with its own pod, power range and draw. New generations change the battery, the screen or the protection, rarely the consumable, which sets the brand apart from makers whose ranges and platforms overlap.
To place any OXVA vaping device, start from its pod and only then look at its name. The same approach works for placing every other pod maker across the wider vaping market.
